He is known for sharing his candid views and addressing current issues, often facing criticism for his political remarks and retweets. Recently, he defended himself against an RJ who mocked Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s film Dhurandhar 2. Additionally, he responded to an author who criticized the sequel for its supposed propaganda. Following these exchanges, the Bhooth Bangla actor discussed the negativity prevalent online.
Paresh Rawal Speaks on Online Negativity
In a recent interview, Rawal expressed his belief that social media often becomes a platform for unfiltered opinions without accountability. He acknowledged his efforts to improve his own responses. The Oh My God! star emphasized that negativity should not proliferate, as individuals do not have the right to belittle or damage another's reputation, even if they disagree with them. He remarked, "I am voicing these thoughts and reflecting on myself, realizing I have done very little to combat this negativity."
Rawal admitted that online hostility can affect him, but he strives to maintain composure. While he may feel anger at times, he sets boundaries and refrains from using offensive language. He advocates for social media to be a tool for positivity and encourages others to avoid negativity.
Controversy Surrounding Rawal's Tweets
Following the release of Dhurandhar 2, also known as Dhurandhar: The Revenge, several comments regarding its alleged propaganda caught Rawal's attention, prompting him to respond to critics. He previously reacted to a negative comment about Dhurandhar from a social media user. The situation escalated when an RJ posted a sarcastic video about the film, labeling it as the 'best review.' In response, Rawal made a pointed remark about her role as a "stupid reporter." The RJ retorted, criticizing Rawal for being disconnected from his craft.
