Lucknow Super Giants has also opened its account in IPL 2026. Lucknow, captained by Rishabh Pant, defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 wickets in a close match in its second match of the season and registered its first win. After losing the low-scoring match at home, Lucknow defeated Hyderabad at home. After restricting Sunrisers to 156 runs on the basis of the deadly spell of star fast bowler Mohammed Shami, Lucknow achieved the target in the last over on the basis of a fighting half-century by captain Rishabh Pant.
