A problem occurred in the spacecraft during the mission
However, a small problem has also come up during the mission. The toilet of the spacecraft Orion is not working properly. It has been facing repeated problems since its launch. Engineers suspect that the problem is due to accumulation of ice in the pipes. At present astronauts have to use backup methods. NASA officials say that handling the toilet system in space has always been challenging, but the team is handling the situation well.
Preparation to break the record of Apollo 13 mission
This mission is also going to create a new record. Artemis II will go to a distance of about 4 lakh kilometers, which will be the maximum distance covered by humans so far. Earlier this record was in the name of Apollo 13 mission. A special thing about this mission is that it includes Canadian Jeremy Hansen, who has become the first non-American astronaut to go to the moon. Christina Koch is the first woman and Victor Glover is the first black astronaut, who are part of this mission.
Artemis II mission to land in Pacific Ocean
After this mission of about 10 days, the spacecraft will land in the Pacific Ocean and return to Earth on April 10. This mission of NASA is the first big step towards building a permanent base on the Moon in the future. The agency aims to land humans near the south pole of the Moon by 2028.
