Tata Safari EV: The demand for electric vehicles is increasing rapidly in the Indian market and in this context, Tata Motors is preparing to launch the electric version of its popular SUV Safari. It is expected that Tata Safari EV can be launched by Diwali of 2026. This will be the company’s largest and premium electric car so far, which will have the option of 3-row seating for the first time.
Battery and powerful performance
Safari EV can get two battery pack options of 65kWh and 75kWh. It can be given the option of RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) as well as AWD (All Wheel Drive), due to which this SUV will perform better on bad roads and climbs.
Range and charging
Talking about range, this SUV will be able to cover long distances on a single charge. However, due to its larger size compared to Harrier EV, the range may be slightly less. It is expected to support DC fast charging up to 100kW, which will reduce the charging time significantly.
Design and interior
The design of the Safari EV may see EV-specific changes, such as a closed front grille, new bumper, aerodynamic alloy wheels and EV badging. Tata’s new TiDAL system can be given in the interior, which will make it more advanced.
Features and driving modes
Different driving modes can be found in this SUV, such as Normal, Snow, Mud, Sand and Rock mode. Due to better suspension system, you will get smooth driving experience even on bad roads.
launch timeline
According to reports, its production may start by August 2026, so that it can be launched in the festive season. This could prove to be a major upgrade in Tata’s electric lineup.
