Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov alleges that America and Israel do not desire peace. He claimed at a meeting of the Russian International Affairs Council that America and Israel do not want normalization between Iran and its neighboring countries.

“They are preventing the normalization of relations between the US and Israel, Iran and the Arab countries, and are undermining the collective Gulf security proposal made at Russia’s initiative in 2010,” he said.

Lavrov said that the real motive behind the ongoing “regime change” (coup) in the region is a desperate attempt to gain control of oil and gas resources. Lavrov warned that if the situation continues like this, this crisis could engulf the entire region and turn into a major conflict.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also said that international laws are being flouted. He said, “Trump says he doesn’t care about international laws. Cities are being destroyed in a barbaric manner. Hospitals are being attacked. In such a situation, no one except us and our allies cares about international laws.”

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in a video conference with his counterparts from the Gulf countries, expressed concern over the increasing tension and called the ceasefire a ruri. He appealed to stop this war immediately.

Lavrov said Russia is fully committed to maintaining close coordination with the Gulf countries to ensure an early ceasefire.

Lavrov talked about New World Order. He said that the world is going through a world order restructuring phase, which is expected to lead to the creation of a new multipolar world. However, he also said that “right now the restructuring seems fragmented and disorganized.”
