Have you gone on a trip to India? good talk However, new rules are being introduced to set foot on Indian soil. This rule is applicable from April 1 at all international airports. Now it is not enough to have a passport and visa in your pocket. Special digital e-arrival card should be carried. Thinking, this feeling is new! No, it’s not. Rather, it is easier for foreigners to travel to India. The center brought radical changes in the immigration system for the convenience of international passengers. The old paper ‘disembarkation’ form filling days are over.
Until recently, passengers from abroad had to sit in the plane and fill in a form for immigration by hand before landing in India. From the first day of April, this entire process is becoming completely paperless. Passengers will be freed from the hassle of standing in long queues and submitting forms. This step has been taken to make India’s modern airports more advanced and smart as compared to foreign countries.
Passengers can fill this e-arrival form online at least 72 hours before arrival in India. After submitting the form, a QR code will be sent to the phone. That code can only be saved in the mobile, if desired, it can also be printed. Just show that code at the immigration counter after landing at the airport. This form can be filled by providing some basic information like passport, flight number and residential address in India. No need to upload any documents separately. Information of maximum 5 family members can be given in one form.

Who will get this benefit?
This new rule is mainly made mandatory for foreign tourists and OCI card holders. But good news for Indian citizens, they don’t need to fill this form. According to government sources, the pilot project has shown that the immigration time can be reduced by about 40 percent as a result of this digital card. As it will save time, paper waste will also be reduced. This digital card is now the main tool for tourists to save time and get out of the airport quickly. Those who do not fill this form may face long queues at immigration. In keeping with the modern world, this digitization process of India is expected to show a new direction in the field of tourism.
