Minister of State for Labor and Employment Shobha Karandlaje, while speaking on the rules of EPFO in the Lok Sabha, said that our aim is to make the system faster, transparent and user-friendly. This will make claim settlement faster, the process will become easier and all facilities will be available digitally at one place.
Big relief from automatic pension transfer
The biggest change has taken place regarding the Centralized Pension Payment System (CPPS). The minister said that from January 1, 2025, all field officers have adopted this system. With the introduction of this system, pension is being given on time to more than 70 lakh pensioners every month without any hassle and mistake.
Claim settlement also faster than before
The government said that in the current financial year till February 25, 2026, a total of more than Rs 3.52 crore claims up to Rs 5 lakh have been settled in auto mode. About 71.37% of the total advance claims have been settled automatically. An amount of about Rs 51,620 crore has been given through these settlements. In such a situation, it is clear that people do not have to wait too long.
EPFO account transfer now easy
Now EPF account is easily transferred after changing job, whereas earlier the employer’s approval and many steps were required, but now this work becomes automatic after KYC is updated. Till February 25, 2026, 70.5 lakh auto transfer claims have been processed without any intervention.

An effort has been made to reduce paperwork and make the entire process online and automated. Earlier, it used to take up to 20 days for claim settlement, but now this work is being done in less than 3 days. From this Employees and Pensioners It is a big relief for both.
