Till now whenever you used to pay UPI, there was a transaction from the mobile number itself. But now you can create an UPI ID by your favorite name.
As – rohit@ptaxis, shopnow@ptyes Like unique ID you can send and ask for money. This will not make your mobile number public.

Suppose you are taking payment from a new customer or working online – now you do not need to give your number every time. Just share your new UPI ID, and the payment will be made.

Currently getting this facility on Yes Bank and Axis Bank
At this time you can make this new UPI ID only on the UPI handle of Yes Bank and Axis Bank. But Paytm says that soon this facility will be started for the rest of the banks.
