Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Birth Anniversary: Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s 134th birth anniversary will be celebrated with state honors in Lucknow on April 14. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared this day a public holiday. On April 13, Bhim Padyatra will be held from Marine Drive to Ambedkar Park. On this occasion, celebrations, seminars and tribute-related programs will be organized in the districts of UP. The Chief Secretary has given necessary guidelines to all the District Magistrates and Divisional Commissioners regarding the programs to be held on this occasion.
Public holiday
In the order issued by the Yogi government of UP, it was told that the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar would be celebrated with utmost dignity and state honors across the state on April 14, 2025. A public holiday has already been declared on this occasion
Organization of seminars and tribute programs
On the eve of Ambedkar Jayanti, the statues of great men / national heroes installed in all park monuments will be cleaned. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, guidelines have been issued for the grand event, seminars, and tribute programs that will be organized. In which public representatives, officers, employees and the general public will also participate. Programs will be organized at many places across the state. Through these programs, Dr. Ambedkar’s thoughts and his contribution to the making of the Constitution will be told.
Bhim Padyatra to Ambedkar Park
On Ambedkar Jayanti, the Yogi government will provide a platform to the artists of the state and the country. All these programs will be based on Baba Saheb. On April 13, at 6.30 am, Bhim Padyatra will be held from Marine Drive to Ambedkar Park. This Padyatra will be held under the aegis of My Bharat by the Rashtriya Seva Yojana and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan. On April 14, the birth anniversary, many events will be organized across the state.
