Bank Holiday list: In today's time, everything has become digital, but despite that people have to go to the bank for some reason or other. This time there are going to be a lot of holidays in the bank (Holiday List 2025). All the private and government banks in the country are going to be closed in April. Banks will remain closed for many days in April, due to which it will be difficult for people to do banking-related work.

Banks will remain closed on these days in April-

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on March 31, banks of many states (Bank Holidays in March 2025) are going to be closed. On this day you can complete the work related to banking (bank holiday list) through mobile or online banking. However, submitting checks, opening an account and some work will have to be done by going to the bank.

Banks will remain closed at the beginning of the month-

The new financial year is going to start from tomorrow i.e. April 1. Banks (Reserve Bank of India) are going to remain closed for many days in April. Due to the start of the financial year, the bank is going to remain closed to the public tomorrow.

This day has been reserved for bank-end processes. On the other hand, the Sarhul festival is going to be celebrated in Jharkhand tomorrow. Due to this, all private and government banks in Jharkhand (Bank holidays in Jharkhand) are going to remain closed.

Banks will remain closed for 14 days-

Apart from this, banks are going to remain closed for many days in April (bank closed in April). Banks are going to remain closed for a total of 14 days in April. These include Sunday and Saturday holidays (Bank holidays update).

Banks will remain closed on these days in April-

According to the country's central bank i.e. Reserve Bank of India, private and government banks of the country are going to remain closed every Sunday. On the other hand, private and government banks are going to remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month as well. There is going to be no work in banks (latest bank update) for 14 days in April. These include four Sundays of the month, the second and fourth Saturdays.

Other holidays of April-

5 April- On 5 April, due to Babu Jagjivan Ram Jayanti, all private and government banks in the country will remain closed. This day is celebrated in the memory of Babu Jagjivan who fought for social justice.

10 April- Mahavir Jayanti will be celebrated in the country on 10 April. Due to this, all private and government banks will remain closed in states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat, Maharashtra (bank holidays in Maharashtra), and Telangana on 10 April.

14 April- Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated on 14 April. Banks will remain closed in other states like Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Chhattisgarh, New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Mizoram, Meghalaya (Meghalaya bank holidays) and Himachal Pradesh on 14 April. Vishu will be celebrated in Kerala, New Year in Tamil Nadu, Poila Boishakh in Bengal, and Bihu festival in Assam. Due to this banks are going to remain closed here too.

Bihu New Year is going to be celebrated in Bengal on 15th April. Due to this, private and government banks of many states like Assam, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh (bank holiday in Himachal Pradesh) are going to remain closed.

Banks are going to remain closed in Tripura on 21st April due to Garia Puja. Apart from this, on the occasion of Parshuram Jayanti on 29th April, all the banks in Himachal Pradesh are going to remain closed.

Apart from this, banks are going to remain closed in Karnataka on 30th April due to Basava Jayanti
