The SBI card has made some changes in its reward points program, which will be implemented from 1 April 2025. Due to these changes, some online transactions and reward points received on shopping related to travel have been cut. Simply click SBI card, Air India SBI Platinum Credit Card and Air India SBI Signature Credit Card will be applicable to users in this change. In such a situation, if you are a card holders, then you must know about these changes, so that they can take maximum advantage of these reward points.

Less reward points than spending on swigy

From 1 April 2025, there will be a decrease in reward points received on the transaction made on Swigy on Simplyclick SBI card. Earlier, where the card holders used to get 10X reward points on spending on Swigy, but now it has been reduced to 5X. However, on this card, some other online shopping websites such as Apollo 24x7, Bookmyshow, Cleartrip, Dominos, IGP, Myntra, Netmeds and Yatra will continue to get 10x reward points.

Reward points cut

The SBI card has also made several changes in the reward points on Air India ticket shopping. On purchasing tickets through Air India website or mobile app from 31 March 2025, Air India SBI Platinum Credit and Air India SBI Signature Credit Card will decrease in reward points.

SBI Platinum Credit Card

Now Air India SBI Platinum Credit Card's primary card holder will now give only 5 reward points at every 100 rupees, which was earlier 15. At the same time, the primary card holders of Air India's SBI Signature Credit Card will now get only 10 reward points at Rs 100, whereas earlier it used to be 30 points.

Complimentary insurance coverage ended

Apart from this, SBI Card has also decided to abolish its Complimentary Insurance Coverage. From 26 July 2025, the air accident insurance cover to the card holders will be stopped by Rs 50 lakh and Rail Accident Insurance Cover Rs 10 lakh.
