If you are thinking of settling any necessary work in the bank on Saturday, March 8, 2025, then it is important to know whether the banks will be open or not. This is the second Saturday of the month, and according to the rules of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. That is, banks will remain closed on this Saturday.

Banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays

According to the RBI guidelines, banks remain open on the first, third and fifth Saturdays of every month, while banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays. In addition, banking services are closed during Sunday and other national or local holidays.

However, despite the bank being closed, customers can make their financial transactions using net banking, mobile banking, SMS banking, and UPI services. If you use online banking, make sure that you are already registered for these services with your bank.
