Whatsapp went down on Friday evening, causing difficulties in sending messages to thousands of users. Many users complained that their messages were not being delivered. However, there was no official statement from WhatsApp on this outage.

In India, more than 10,000 users complained about WhatsApp Down by 9:20 pm.
More than 50,000 users in the UK also reported not running the app.
More than 70% of users had difficulty sending messages.
17% of users had a server connection problem.
The most affected cities in India were Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.
Why was Whatsapp Down?
At the moment, no official statement has come from WhatsApp, but this outage is being compared to the recent problems in the workplace messaging app Slack.
Slack admitted that API Arrr, messaging system and thread loading had a problem.
