Bank will be closed for 14 days in March

According to RBI's bank holiday list, banks will remain closed for 14 days including Holi and other festivals including Eid-ul-Fitr in March. Let us know that it also includes the second and fourth Saturdays including the weekly holiday of Sunday. Despite the bank holiday, you can transact money through online banking and ATMs. You can deal with other important work through online banking. This service will be operational 24 hours. Banks will remain closed for eight days across India except Sunday and second Saturdays on March 2025.

The Bank Holiday is based on the list of Reserve Bank of India holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act of 1881. It varies according to the state and opportunity. It also includes major festivals and regional festivals like Holi, Eid-ul-Fitr.

When will the bank holiday be in March

7 March: Banks will remain closed in Mizoram due to the festival festival on Friday. This is a traditional festival celebrated in the state after harvesting.

March 13: Banks will remain closed in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Kerala due to Holika Dahan and Atukal Pongala.

March 14: Holi will have public holidays in most states except Tripura, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Manipur, Kerala and Nagaland.

March 15: On Saturday, Holi will be celebrated in some states like Odisha, Karnataka, Tripura, Tamil Nadu and Manipur a day later, due to which there will be a holiday here.

March 22: Banks will remain closed in Bihar on the occasion of the foundation day of Bihar state.

27 March: Shab-e Kadr, which is an Islamic festival, will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir.

March 28: Zuma-ul-Vida is the last Friday of Ramadan. In such a situation, there will be a bank holiday in Jammu and Kashmir.

March 31: On Monday, due to Eid-ul-Fitr, most states of the country will have a holiday. Mizoram and Himachal Pradesh are not involved in this.
