Bank Holiday in March 2025: There are going to be a lot of holidays in March. Many festivals and anniversaries are falling in March, which mainly includes Holi and Eid. In such a situation, there is going to be a holiday in banks for a total of 14 days this month. However, holidays are falling on different days in different states. In such a situation, before going for any bank-related work in March, you must check the list of holidays once. Let us tell you that these holidays include the second and fourth Saturdays of the month as well as all Sundays.
The Reserve Bank of India releases a calendar every year keeping in mind the national festival, regional festival, and weekend holidays, according to which holidays are declared in banks. Let us tell you that it also includes special holidays for different states.

The special thing is that the online services of banks remain operational on the day of the holiday. Therefore, you can do many things including money transfers from one bank account to another through net banking, mobile banking, or UPI.

March 1 (Saturday) – Ramakrishna Jayanti (West Bengal, Odisha, Assam)
March 13 (Thursday) – Chhoti Holi, Holika Dahan (Entire India, Regional Bank Holidays)
March 14 (Friday) – Holi (National Holiday, Major Bank Holiday)
March 14 (Friday) – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti (Maharashtra)
March 20 (Thursday) – Parsi New Year (Jamshedi Navroz) (Maharashtra, Gujarat)
March 28 (Friday) – Ugadi (Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana)
March 31 (Monday) – Banks across the country will remain closed except in Mizoram and Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of Ramzan-Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr).
Apart from this, banks will remain closed across the country due to the second and fourth Saturdays in March and Sundays on 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 March.
