Currently, the feature you get on WhatsApp allows you to send and receive money through UPI only to your saved contacts. Soon this feature will be expanded further.

WhatsApp Pay was allowed by NPCI only recently. Earlier only 10 crore users could use it. But now this limit has been removed.
