View Once Media will now be accessible on linked devices

According to the website Wabetainfo, which tracks the upcoming features of Whatsapp, now View Once Media can also be accessed on linked devices. Till now this feature was limited to the main device only, but after the new update it can also be seen on a linked device. Currently, this feature has been made available to some beta users, and will soon be rolled out for more people.

What will users benefit?

The biggest advantage of this new update of Whatsapp will be that if a user links his WhatsApp account to another device, he will also be able to access View Once Media on that linked device. Earlier this feature was limited only on primary devices, but now it will be available on all connected devices.

According to WABETAINFO, WhatsApp has taken full care of the privacy of users in this update. The safety of users has been further strengthened due to the end-to-end encryption. This feature will not have the facility to take screenshots, which will maintain the privacy of the users.

What is View Once feature?

Whatsapp's view Once feature helps users to maintain the confidentiality of their sent media files. Photo and video sent under this feature can only be seen by the receiver and then the automatic delete. Apart from this, their screenshot cannot be taken.

Beta users will get access first

Users who want to take advantage of View Once Media on Linked devices will have to join the beta program first. Only after becoming a beta tester, they will be able to access this new feature. This update is currently available in the beta version, but will soon be rolled out for a stable version.
