Giving information in its statement, the RBI has said that on the day of the announcement of the note to withdraw the note, at the time of the business of the business, the Rs 3.56 lakh crore notes worth Rs 3.56 lakh crore were present. The RBI has said that in this way, the total of 2000 rupee notes residing in the trend till May 19, 2023 has returned 98.15 percent. The facility of depositing or replacing 2000 rupee notes was provided by the Reserve Bank of India in the branches of all banks by 7 October 2023. These facilities are currently available in 19 Issood offices of the Reserve Bank.

RBI's Issood Officers have been accepting a 2000 rupee note from 9 October 2023 to submit individuals and institutions to their bank account. Apart from this, people can also send 2000 rupee notes to their bank account through any post office in the country to any Issood Office of Reserve Bank of India.
