Whatsapp supports many old smartphones till now. For the convenience of users, WhatsApp continues to do a new update on it. But now the platform is planning to close support for some old iOS models. WhatsApp has announced that it will not work in the old version of iOS from May 5. Fun models have been told here in which WhatsApp will not work from May 5.
WhatsApp will not run in these models
The instant messaging app will not support the iOS version before 15.1. The platform will also close it for those who access it through the old beta version on Testflight.
WhatsApp support will be taken away from beta testers using old iPhone like iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 5S. These devices cannot be upgraded to iOS 15. Currently, WhatsApp beta will continue to work for a few more weeks before the end of the release. Users can still switch to the stable version of the app. They will get updates by the first week of May.
When whatsapp iOS 12, iOS 13 and iOS 14 will discontinue support, it will be able to include new features with the latest iOS version. For WhatsApp app store listing, now iOS 15.1 or subsequent version is needed.
User experience will improve WhatsApp
Prior to this change, WhatsApp has stopped beta testers before installing the latest version on these devices. WhatsApp is trying to improve the experience of using WhatsApp with new iOS updates.
Before installing WhatsApp beta version 25.1.10.72 for iOS, the device of users who have registered their iPhone in beta program should be running on the ostent 15.1 or later version.
