Whatsapp has said that from 5 May 2025, the app will not support the older version from iOS 15.1. This means that WhatsApp will not work on older models like iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

According to a report by WABETAINFO, whatsapp support for the older version from iOS 15.1, will not support WhatsApp, iOS 15.1 and older versions from 5 May 2025. This change will not only be limited to the standard Whatsapp app, but also the WhatsApp Business app will also be affected by this change, as both apps follow the same code and system requirements.

What to do old iphones users? Users who are using the old iOS version are advised to update their devices or switch to the new iPhone, so that they can continue using WhatsApp. This change will mainly affect the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users, as the last iOS update available for these devices was iOS 12.5.7. These devices were launched about 10 years ago, and now the number of users using WhatsApp on them can be reduced.
