Bank of Baroda will provide these things for Mahakumbh in Prayagraj

As the stage is set for the world's largest public gathering, the Maha Kumbh Mela in 2025, Bank of Baroda (BoB) plans to set up full-fledged branches with AI-powered customer support, foreign exchange transaction facilities to facilitate visitors in Prayagraj. Has announced. As the convener of the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) of Uttar Pradesh, BoB is leveraging the Mahakumbh to promote digital payments, provide AI-powered customer support and provide strong banking infrastructure.

BoB is setting up two full-fledged branches with foreign exchange transaction facilities. It is also installing onsite and mobile ATMs as well as coin vending machines to cater to various banking needs. Senthilkumar said the bank has developed Aditi, a GenAI-powered virtual relationship manager, to answer banking- queries and enhance customer service to pilgrims visiting the Maha Kumbh.

The bank is widely promoting its newly launched UPI payments PSP app, BoB e-Pay, which offers a complete suite of payment features.

Customers and merchants will be encouraged to adopt seamless digital payment solutions. VG Senthilkumar, head of marketing and branding, Bank of Baroda, told ANI, “As the world's largest public gathering, which will be attended by a diverse cross-section of people, the Maha Kumbh Mela presents a unique opportunity for brands. This is especially For banks, it is important to provide seamless access to banking and payment services to the millions of devotees and tourists visiting Maha Kumbh.”

The Bank has started deployment of BC Sakhis and Business Correspondents to assist the banking needs of pilgrims, tourists and businessmen. The bank, through fair officials, has also provided hundreds of merchant carts and reflector jackets for volunteers and traders.

Senthilkumar said, “As a large public sector bank serving all sections of the society, Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 is a great opportunity for Bank of Baroda to provide banking services to Kumbh visitors as well as enhance its brand visibility and customer engagement. Would be an ideal platform to scale up.” Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Police has set up multi-layered security arrangements around Prayagraj district. Mahakumbh is being celebrated after 12 years and more than 45 crore devotees are expected to attend this event. During the Maha Kumbh, devotees will gather at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati (now extinct) to take a holy dip. Mahakumbh will conclude on 26th February. The main bathing rituals (Shahi Snan) of Kumbh will take place on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya) and February 3 (Basant Panchami).
