Banks will remain closed on 14th January on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, finish your work in advance

Actually, banks will remain closed in different parts of the country on the occasion of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. Keep in mind that anyway banks remain closed on 4 Sundays and 2 Saturdays in a month.

There will be holiday on the day of Makar Sankranti

It has been informed that banks will remain closed on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad — Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad — Telangana, Itanagar, Kanpur, and Lucknow.

There are going to be a total of 13 days of bank holidays in the month of January. Banks will remain closed in Chennai on 15 January on the occasion of Thiruvalluvar Day. Chennai banks will remain closed on January 16 on the occasion of Uzhavar Thirunal. It is Sunday 19th January. Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata on 23rd January on the occasion of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose/Vir Surendrasai Jayanti. During holidays, customers can easily use ATM and online transactions.
