Good news has been announced for the customers who deposit the money in the bank or post office. Information about paperless Know Your Customer (KYC) process has been given to the customers by the Department of Posts. Care is being taken to ensure that customers do not face any problem in opening an account and hence this service has been started.
Facilities will be made easier through eKYC
It has been informed that paperless KYC process has now been launched for opening Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) accounts and transactions through Aadhaar authentication. It has been told that this process will be implemented on a phase basis. An order in this regard has been issued by the Department of Post on January 1, 2025.
On a phase basis, this facility will be started from January 6, 2025. It has been said that the CIF of those customers who have approved for Aadhaar e-KYC will be created through Aadhaar Biometric Authentication URL.
