Tech News Desk –There are millions of users of WhatsApp all over the world including India. Some time ago Meta had rolled out the payment feature for this app, but on the New Year the company has made a big change in it which can prove to be a game changer. In fact, on Tuesday, the government has removed the user cap on the app's payment service WhatsApp Payment, which is a big victory for the company. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), which oversees the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) system, has announced that WhatsApp can now connect all users in the country with its payment feature. Earlier the company could add only 10 crore users to WhatsApp Pay, but now this limit has been removed.

Changes in regulatory policy
The decision marks a major change in regulatory policy, which had previously limited the rollout of WhatsApp Payments. Initially in 2020, Meta could add only 4 crore users to WhatsApp Pay and later in 2022 it was increased to 10 crore.

Problems of Google Pay and PhonePe will increase
Let us tell you that India's UPI platform does more than 13 billion transactions every month, in which Google Pay and PhonePe control more than 85 percent of the market, but after the removal of the limit from WhatsApp, now it seems that the problems of these companies are over. Are going to increase.

Generative AI changes user experience
This time is special for Meta, because the company has recently introduced its generative AI product Meta AI. This AI chatbot has made many tasks much easier. Along with conversation, you can also take pictures with this AI chatbot, which seems to be a very useful tool.

This decision was postponed
Apart from removing the limit on WhatsApp payments, NPCI has postponed till December 31, 2026, the proposed rule to limit the equity of UPI transactions of any one app to 30 percent. With this decision, WhatsApp has got more time to establish its foothold in the market.
