Amidst the excitement of Christmas and New Year, banks have announced the list of holidays for January 2025.

The list of bank holidays is circulated among banks by the RBI. The list of holidays includes state holidays:

January 1: New Year's Day

January 2: New Year and Mannam Jayanti

January 5: Sunday

January 6: Guru Govinda Singh Jayanti

January 11: Second Saturday

January 12: Sunday and Swami Vivekananda Jayanti

January 14: Makar Sankranti and Pongal

January 15: Thiruvalluvar Day, Magh Bihu and Makar Sankranti

January 16: Uzhavar Tirunal

January 19: Sunday

January 22: Imoin

January 23: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti

January 25: Fourth Saturday

January 26: Republic Day

January 30: Sonam Losar

These major festivals will be celebrated in different parts of India in January 2025. Banks will observe holidays on the given dates, however, internet transactions and ATMs can be used for daily transactions.

Banking operations may be affected during the holidays. Hence, it is advisable to confirm these holidays from your nearest bank office and plan your work accordingly.
