WhatsApp, a globally popular messaging platform, is now set to launch an in-app call dialer feature. This new feature will make the user experience more interesting and easier, eliminating the difference between messaging and voice communication services.
WhatsApp is working on the in-app dial, that is, you can call someone from the WhatsApp app itself. Currently, this feature is available only for iOS beta users and will be rolled out first for iPhone users.
The in-app call dialer will provide users with an easy way to make phone calls directly through WhatsApp, which will be like a traditional phone dialer, but with the facility of internet-based calling. Users will be able to call unsaved numbers through a numeric keypad.
Changes in the existing calling feature
As of now, WhatsApp's calling feature is limited to only those contacts who already use the app. Users have to save the number in their contact list before starting the call, but the in-app call dialer will eliminate this problem, allowing users to directly dial a number and make a call, whether the number is in WhatsApp's contact database or not.
WABetaInfo shared the information.
WABetaInfo, which tracks WhatsApp's features, has shared a screenshot of this new feature, which beta users are experiencing this new feature, in which they can make a call by entering the phone number directly in the app.
