They will not need to tag each contact separately in the status. Now the news is that the testing of this feature has started. It has been rolled out for some beta users.
Wabetainfo said in its report that the upcoming feature has been revealed from the WhatsApp Android 2.24.26.17 beta update available on the Google Play Store. The name of this feature is Group Chat Mention in Status Update. Through this, there will be a facility to mention group chat in status.
If you look at the screenshot in the official tweet, this tool is available for beta users. When users mention a group in the status, all group members will get a notification related to it, so that they will know that they have been tagged in the status. Its notification will also be given to those users who have been restricted. With the arrival of this feature, there is no need to tag the group members separately.
Group members will also be able to share their status
Under this feature, WhatsApp group members will also be able to share the mentioned status with their contacts. This will give users complete freedom to share their views. This feature will be very useful for the users. With this, the status will reach more and more users.
When will it be rolled out
As we told you above WhatsApp's group chat mention feature is currently in the testing zone. It is being speculated that this feature can be rolled out by mid-January 2025. At present, no information has been given by WhatsApp regarding the launch of the feature.
