Bank Holiday According to RBI, all banks will remain closed in Meghalaya tomorrow, Wednesday, while bank branches in other states of the country will remain open as usual. Bank branches will provide their regular service in all states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. The reason for banks being closed in Meghalaya may be local festival or government holiday. Customers will not be affected by this, as normal banking services will continue in other states. Banks will remain closed tomorrow-

The death anniversary of U Soso Tham is celebrated on 18 December in Meghalaya, who is considered the father of Khasi literature and culture. On this occasion, the Khasi community and literature lovers pay tribute to him. Tham made a significant contribution in giving cultural identity to the Khasi language. This day is a public holiday in Meghalaya, due to which all government offices and banks will remain closed. However, this is limited to Meghalaya only, so work will continue as usual in other states. It is important to remember his contribution.
