Obnews Tech Desk: WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram had stopped working from around 11:30 pm on Monday night, due to which crores of users had to face problems. People were neither able to send nor receive messages on these platforms. This problem started suddenly and due to this the digital lives of people across the world were affected.
Meta issued statement
Meta, the company that owns social media platforms, has apologized for this problem. The company said in its statement,
“We apologize that users are facing such inconvenience. We are working to resolve the issue and will fix it soon.”
Users complained on X
As soon as these three platforms of Meta were down, people started posting their complaints on X (earlier Twitter). The issue started trending on social media within no time. Users reacted by sharing funny memes and posts.

This problem was not limited to India only. Reports of WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram being down were received from many countries around the world. This problem was seen on both desktop and mobile. The platforms gradually started functioning after 11:45 pm.
