The year 2024 is about to end. In this last month, many banks have made some important changes. Many banks have also changed the rules regarding credit cards. Let us know about 4 such banks, that changed the rules of credit cards in December.

1- SBI CARD
SBI Card has implemented new rules from December 1 itself. Under this, if you make a utility payment of more than Rs 50 50,000 with an SBI card, then you will have to pay an additional charge of 1 percent. Also, you will not get any reward points for spending with credit cards on digital gaming platforms. This will affect credit cards like SBI's SimplyCLICK, AURUM, and Gold SBI Cards.

2- YES BANK
Yes Bank has imposed a limit on the use of reward points for flights and hotels from December 1. Under this, MARQUEE credit cardholders will be able to use their YES Rewardz points only for up to 70 percent of the value of the flight or hotel invoice or 2 lakh points per month, whichever is less.

RESERVE credit cardholders will also get the same benefit. However, if you use any other credit card, you will be able to use it only for up to 70 percent of the value of the flight or hotel invoice or 1 lakh points per month, whichever is less.

3- AU SMALL FINANCE BANK
AU Small Finance Bank has changed the reward point policy for the Ixigo AU credit card from December 22. Under this, no reward points will be available on education, government expenses, rent, and Bharat Bill Payment System transactions. Apart from this, reward points have also been abolished on international transactions. From December 23, the bank is introducing zero percent forex markup.

Rules changed regarding reward points.

For expenses on utility, telecom, and insurance, cardholders will get 1 reward point for every Rs 100 spent. However, cardholders can get up to 100 reward points per transaction on insurance expenses.

4- AXIS BANK

From December 20, Axis Bank will charge customers a redemption charge of Rs 9 and 18% GST on cash redemption of reward points. On the other hand, if you transfer reward points to the mileage program, then a charge of Rs 199 and 18% GST will be levied on it. Apart from this, Axis Bank has also changed the interest rates and penalty charges as well as transaction fees on adding money to the wallet, fuel spending, and rent payments.
