Bank Holiday: There will be 17 days of closure in December along with weekend holidays. Some holidays are going to be with long weekends. RBI has declared a holiday for banks on Tuesday, 3 December. Public and private banks will remain closed on Tuesday. All government and private banks will remain closed in Goa on 3 December.
Bank holiday on 3 December
The Reserve Bank of India releases the complete list of bank holidays at the beginning of the year. According to the list of bank holidays on the RBI portal, banks are going to remain closed for 17 days in December. Banks are going to have holidays in different states and cities due to Christmas and local festivals. Under this, RBI has given a holiday to all the banks of Goa on 3 December.

St. Francis Xavier festival will be celebrated in Goa on 3 December. Banks have been ordered to remain closed due to the St. Francis Xavier Festival, one of the major religious festivals of Christians. All government and private banks in Goa will remain closed on 3 December. However, in the rest of the bank, the work will continue as usual.
When will the banks be closed in December?
In December, apart from two Saturdays and all Sundays, the banks will remain closed on 12 December, 18 December, 19 December, 24 December, 25 December, 26 December, 27 December, 30 December and 31 December. Apart from these holidays, the second and fourth Saturdays and every Sunday will be the weekly holidays for the banks.
