Major banks including SBI change credit card rules, know what the new changes will be

The year 2024 is coming to an end and December has brought many important changes and deadlines. These changes relate to credit card facilities, Aadhaar card updates and income tax return filing. Which can affect your financial affairs and daily life. State Bank of India (SBI), Axis Bank and Yes Bank have made some major changes to their credit card services. Let's know about these important updates.

 

SBI Card : Changes in Reward Points and Charges

SBI has implemented new rules on credit cards from December 1.

Electricity, water and gas bills over ₹50,000 will be charged 1%.

Reward points will no longer be available for spending on digital gaming platforms.

Yes Bank : Changes in Reward Structure and New Limits

Yes Bank has changed the reward point system from 1st December.

Reward points are capped for flight and hotel bookings.

The new credit card spending limit for lounge access will go into effect on April 1, 2025.

Axis Bank: Changes in Redemption and Other Charges

Axis Bank to change redemption charges from December 20

New fees will apply when redeeming EDGE Rewards and Miles.

Cash redemption is charged at ₹99.

₹199 fee for transferring points to mileage program.

Other changes include interest rates, wallet load, fuel costs and transaction fees on rental payments.
