As per the instructions of the government, the top 5 public and private banks of the country have set new limits for cash deposits (Cash Deposit Limit Rule). Under these rules, it is no longer possible to deposit cash beyond a certain limit.

The Modi government has taken several important steps to curb black money and tax evasion. One of these is the rules related to depositing cash in banks. The government aims to minimise cash transactions in the country so that every transaction is transparent and can be monitored.

 

As per the government's instructions, the country's top 5 public and private banks have set new limits for cash deposits (Cash Deposit Limit Rule). Under these rules, it is no longer possible to deposit cash beyond a certain limit. If you have to deposit more than this amount in the bank, you will have to use digital means or cheques.

 

SBI Bank Cash Limit 

The country's largest bank, SBI (State Bank of India), has made some rules for depositing cash. You can deposit up to Rs 49,999 in your account without a PAN card or debit card. But for this it is necessary that your account is linked to PAN. If your PAN card is already registered in the bank, then you can deposit up to Rs 2 lakh in cash at a time. This rule (Cash Deposit Limit Rule) is beneficial for those who have to deposit a large amount, but they have to ensure that their account is linked to PAN.

 

Bank of baroda cash limit 

Bank of Baroda (Bank of Baroda Bank Cash Deposit Limit Rule), which is the second largest bank in the country, has set some limits for depositing cash. If you do not have a PAN card and you are depositing cash without a debit card, then you can deposit a maximum of Rs 49,999. If your PAN card is registered with the bank, then you can deposit up to Rs 2 lakh in cash at a time. However, the limit for cardless cash deposits is even lower. In such cases, you can deposit only up to Rs 20,000 in cash in a day.

The limit for depositing cash in the third largest government bank PNB (PNB Bank Cash Deposit Limit) is also very low. Here you can deposit 1 lakh rupees or 200 notes at a time through the cash machine. Yes, if your PAN is linked then only one lakh rupees can be deposited at a time, if not then only up to Rs 49,999 can be deposited at a time.

 

Hdfc bank deposit cash limit 

Talking about the country's largest private bank HDFC, the limit for withdrawing money from a savings account is Rs 25,000 and the daily deposit limit is Rs 2 lakh. You can withdraw Rs 1 lakh in a day from a current account, while the deposit limit is Rs 6 lakh. If you want to make a card-based deposit, you can also deposit up to Rs 1 lakh in a savings account. The daily limit with the card is Rs 2 lakh in a savings account and Rs 6 lakh in a current account.

Union Bank of India Bank Cash Deposit Limit 

Union Bank of India (Union Bank of India Deposit Cash Limit), which is one of the major government banks of the country, has set some limits for cash deposits. If you are depositing cash without a card, you can deposit a maximum of Rs 49,999. At the same time, if your PAN card is registered with the bank, you can deposit up to Rs 1 lakh in cash.

To deposit cash in a bank, it is necessary that the transaction is done as per the rules. The special thing is that if you are depositing money through the bank's cash deposit machine (CDM) and the machine detects a fake note, then that note will not be returned to you. Such notes will be destroyed as per the bank procedure.
