Bank Holidays: Banks to Close for 3 Days This Week – Check the Full List

This week, banks in multiple states will remain closed for three days, creating a long weekend. On Friday, November 15, banks will be closed in several states to celebrate Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima, or Rahas Purnima. The closures will impact branches in states including Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram, New Delhi, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, West Bengal, and Srinagar. Banks will reopen on Saturday, November 16, but then close again on Sunday, November 17, due to the regular weekend holiday. Additionally, all banks in Karnataka will be closed on Monday, November 18, for Kanakadasa Jayanti.

  • November 15 (Friday): Banks closed for Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartik Purnima/Rahas Purnima in various states, including Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, West Bengal, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Srinagar.

  • November 17 (Sunday): Weekly holiday.

  • November 18 (Monday): All banks in Karnataka closed for Kanakadasa Jayanti.

  • November 23 (Saturday): Banks in Meghalaya closed for Seng Kutsnem. Fourth Saturday (bank holiday).

  • November 24 (Sunday): Weekly holiday.

Public and private banks, including the State Bank of India (SBI), observe holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. While branches may be closed, online banking and mobile app services remain available, and cash can be withdrawn from ATMs anytime.
