In two-step verification, you can login by entering the PIN and if you forget the PIN, a reset link is sent to your email. This prevents any hacker from easily logging into your WhatsApp account.

How to turn on two-step verification?

To turn on two-step verification on your WhatsApp account, first go to Settings in the messaging app.

Go to Settings and click on the Account option. Now select two-step verification.

After two-step verification, select the option to enable it. Here, create a six-digit PIN and verify it by entering it again.

You can also enter your email address in two-step verification, although this is optional. However, if you enter your email address and in some situation you have to change your password, it becomes easier.

Click on Next and now your two-step verification will be turned on. Now whenever you login to WhatsApp on a new phone, you will have to enter the six-digit PIN along with the message verification code.
