Bengaluru: A five-year-old boy, Suhas Gowda, died after accidentally falling into a water-filled pit that had been dug for lift construction in Bengaluru's Mahadevapura area. The incident occurred when little Suhas was playing in front of his house on October 23 morning around 9 AM. While playing, the boy lost balance and tragically fell into the pit.
The pit, approximately 5 feet deep, was dug as part of the construction work for the building of a milk dairy. However, heavy rains had caused the pit to fill with water, and no safety precautions were put in place to prevent accidents. The accident was reported from the Kannamangala area which comes under the jurisdiction of the Kadugodi police station.
The police have registered an FIR against the milk dairy’s president for negligence. The case is currently being investigated by the Kadugodi police.
