WhatsApp has a picture-in-picture mode for videos. Now you can watch videos in a small window on WhatsApp like YouTube.

Now a feature is being seen in WhatsApp, which has been available on platforms like YouTube for a long time. We are talking about picture-in-picture (PiP) mode for videos. Till now this feature is available only while making video calls on WhatsApp.

However, now users can also watch the videos received on WhatsApp in a small window i.e. in picture-in-picture mode. With the help of this feature, users will be able to access WhatsApp chat, settings, and other apps on the phone along with watching the video. Apart from this, there has been another change to the video. Let's know about this in detail.

The feature has been rolled out recently in WhatsApp. Still, not all users are getting this feature. I have used it in my iPhone. The video sent by a contact on WhatsApp can be easily seen in a small window on the screen. This feature will also be available on the video sent by you.

After playing the video on WhatsApp, you will see the picture-in-picture mode button on the right side of the screen. As soon as you click on it, the video will start appearing in a small window at the top right side of the screen. Now you can access the chat in WhatsApp along with watching the video.

Other features

Apart from this, a new option is being available to fast-forward the video. You can fast forward the video by double tapping on it. This is similar to the way of forwarding videos on YouTube etc.

As soon as you tap the screen twice, the video will move forward by 10 seconds. You can rewind the video by tapping twice on the screen. Apart from this, you get two more options on the video screen.

By clicking on the three dot icon on the right side, you will get two options Go to Messages and All Media. By clicking on Go to Messages, you will return to the chat. By tapping on All Media, you will reach the media page of that chat.
