Today is the second Saturday of the month. According to the Reserve Bank, all government and private banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. On the other hand, today is the second Saturday and it is also Dussehra. In such a situation, banks will remain closed across the country today i.e. on Saturday.

Banks will remain closed for so many days in October

Apart from Dussehra, there are more festivals to come in October. In such a situation, there will be holidays in many states in the remaining days of this month. These include Durga Puja (Dasain), Durga Puja (Dasain), Lakshmi Puja, Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, Kati Bihu, Accession Day, Diwali, Kali Puja, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birthday, Narak Chaturdashi.

October 12: Second Saturday of the month.
13 October: Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
October 14: There will be a bank holiday in Sikkim due to Durga Puja (Dassain).
16 October: Banks will remain closed in Tripura and Bengal due to Lakshmi Puja.
17 October: Due to Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti/Kati Bihu, there will be no work in banks in Karnataka, Assam, Himachal Pradesh.
20 October: Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
26 October: Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar due to Accession Day.
27 October: Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
31 October: Diwali/Kali Puja/Birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel/Narak Chaturdashi. Due to this, banks will remain closed in most of the states except Tripura, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, Meghalaya.
