Recently, WhatsApp has added a lot of new features. It has also added a new private naming tool for status messages, which is a big change. The new tool is now being rolled out to some users, and soon it will be available to all people around the world.
This new feature lets users quietly tag people in their status updates, like other people’s status updates, and share a status update that mentions them again.
Developers of WhatsApp wrote in a blog post, “Make sure your closest friends and family see your status, and make it easy for them to share it with their audience by privately mentioning them.” Furthermore, the business said that users who are tagged in status updates will be secretly told, but the tag will not appear on their status.
Besides the ability to tag someone, status “likes” are another new feature that lets users let someone know that they like their status. For users, liking their friends’ status updates will only take one tap of the “Like” button.
Like tags, likes will be private and won’t have a number. This means that the person whose status you liked will be the only one who can see who viewed it.
A blog post on WhatsApp said, “Over the next few months, we’ll be adding more features to the Status and Updates tabs to make it easier to stay close to the people who matter the most to you.”
The company that Meta owns is also said to be working on a Meta AI talk mode tool. This update should add more speech choices and make it easier to talk back and forth with artificial intelligence (AI).
Some of the sounds may have accents from the UK, while others may have accents from the US. The company run by Mark Zuckerberg says the new features will help users test new ideas, improve their chats, and find new things to do. Reports also say that Meta wants to use the sounds of famous people, but the names of those people are still secret.
