The public-sector Bank of Baroda (BoB) announced on Tuesday the introduction of GyanSahay, a GenAI-enabled knowledge management platform, and Aditi, a Virtual Relationship Manager.AI for its staff members and ADI, a GenAI chatbot for the digital customer experience.

The Bank will continue to use GenAI and other cognitive technologies to further improve its sales and service operations and channels as part of its continuous investment in digital transformation.

Debadatta Chand, Managing Director and CEO of Bank of Baroda, said the following on incorporating GenAI technology into banking operations: “We at Bank of Baroda have been closely following the advancement of GenAI and are convinced that it has the power to transform banking operations.” The digital customer experience provided by the Bank will be enhanced by our GenAI-powered conversational interfaces. With new sales and service capabilities, the Bank will keep improving these GenAI use cases. The bank also intends to hire knowledgeable and experienced personnel in order to strengthen capacity and promote widespread use of AI in banking operations and services.

Gyan Sahay.Aditi, accessible via the Bank’s online portal, offers chat-based help, voice, video, and multilingual support. AI is educated in the Bank’s product policies and procedures. The current clients will be able to use this service by enrolling in a procedure.

Executive Director of Bank of Baroda Sanjay Mudaliar said, “While the first set of GenAI use cases are pioneering large-scale implementations, the Bank has also setup the necessary technology architecture and guardrails to ensure security and ethical AI.”
