New Delhi: Banks will remain closed in many parts of the country on Tuesday. This day is Anant Chaturdashi. It is celebrated with great joy. Ganesh idols are immersed on this day. Bank holidays may vary in different states. It is not necessary that all these holidays are applicable all over India.

Public and private sector banks in India were closed on September 16 on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad in some states. These included Gujarat, Mizoram, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur, Jammu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.

Banks will remain closed in Sikkim on 17 September due to Indra Jatra holiday. Apart from this, banks will remain closed in Rajasthan on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi. Banks will also remain closed on this occasion in Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra.

There will be no impact on online services

However, online services will continue to work. All banks operate their online websites and mobile banking service apps regardless of weekends or other holidays - unless users are informed otherwise for special reasons. Customers can use any bank's ATM for cash withdrawals despite holidays.
