However, the deadline for updating the Aadhaar card for free has been fixed as September 14, 2024. If you do not update your Aadhaar card for free by tomorrow i.e. September 14, then you will have to pay a fee for it.
You can update your Aadhaar card from home. You do not have to go to the Aadhaar Seva Kendra to update your Aadhaar card. You can easily update your Aadhaar card online or with the help of M Aadhaar application.
In this process, you can update your name, surname, address, date of birth etc. On the other hand, if you want to change your photo in the Aadhaar card, then for this you will have to go to the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
If you update your Aadhaar card after September 14, then you will have to pay a fee of Rs 50 for this. According to the Unique Identification Authority of India, it is necessary to update your Aadhaar card every ten years.
