Hyderabad: Four people including three techies were arrested in connection with the murder of their colleague who was pushed into a swimming pool during a party at a farmhouse on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The deceased has been identified as Gajambikal Ajay Teja. The incident took place during a birthday party at a farmhouse.
According to reports, the victim Ajay Teja was reportedly pushed into the swimming pool by two of his colleagues who knew that he didn't know how to swim. Police said that the accused had some professional differences with Ajay Teja.
The victim died after he was left unattended for 45 minutes. The incident occurred on September 1.
According to the initial probe into the incident, two accused pushed Ajay Teja into the pool and tried to pass the incident as an accidental drowning.
The victim was left unattended for almost 45 minutes when one of his friends saw him lying in the pool. He rushed him to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
The accused Ranjith Reddy and Sai Kumar, who had professional differences with Ajay Teja knew that he couldn’t swim and pushed him into the pool.
The police have registered a case against four people including Ranjith Reddy, San Kumar, Manager of the IT firm and Srikanth and Venkatesh who are the owners of the farmhouse.
