A new FASTag design from State Bank of India (SBI) claims to reduce commuter travel time and rectify toll price anomalies.

“The bank introduced a new Vehicle Class (VC-04) SBI FASTag design. According to an August 30 news release, the enhanced FASTag design improves vehicle recognition and toll collecting efficiency, saving millions of Indian commuters time.

How is SBI FASTag?

SBI FASTag utilizes RFID to pay tolls from its prepaid or savings account. It is mounted on the windshield and allows drivers to pass toll plazas without payment. Tag issuers sell tags, which must be recharged if attached to a prepaid account.

SBI claims that the new FASTag is just for Vehicle Class 4 (jeeps, sedans, and vans). The new design improves vehicle detection and toll collection, reducing commuter travel time. The new tag debuted on August 30. Toll officials may immediately punish cars of the incorrect class using these stickers.

How will the new SBI FASTag assist commuters?

Vehicle identification: The new design helps toll plaza personnel identify cars.

The revised technique may speed up toll payments and reduce commuter wait times.

Chargebacks are reduced: The new FASTag eliminates incorrect toll charges, reducing chargebacks and enhancing government and concessionaire income.

SBI FASTag: Who can use it?

New FASTag is just for Vehicle Class 4 vehicles, including cars, jeeps, and vans.

Along with the FASTag, SBI released additional products.

SBI also released these products:

MTS RuPay NCMC Prepaid card: This card simplifies offline payments for metro trains, buses, ferries, tolls, and parking.

OneView mobile app: This program lets customers top up, monitor, and manage SBI NCMC prepaid cards in one place.
