Bank PrerequisitesThe majority of banks require clients to first create a current or savings account. A current passport-sized photo and proof of identity and address, such as a PAN or Aadhaar card, are also required. Locker AgreementA locker agreement is provided by the bank which states the terms and conditions of use. Both parties are required to sign this legally binding agreement. Locker AllocationLockers are assigned on the basis of availability and in some cases, waiting time period. The customers get a unique key once the locker has been allotted while the bank keeps the master key. Refundable Security DepositRefundable security deposit is usually asked by banks which can be in the form of cash or a fixed deposit. Additional Service ChargesThe size and location of the branch determine how much a locker costs to rent. If you use the locker more often than is permitted, there may be additional service fees.
