The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for September (Bank Holidays in September 2024). According to the bank holiday list, banks will remain closed for a total of 15 days in September. This includes national and regional holidays as well as Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays.

When will the banks remain closed?

September 1 is Sunday. All banks will remain closed on this day.

Banks in Guwahati will remain closed on the occasion of Tirubhav Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva on September 4.

On 7th September, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, banks in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, and Panaji will remain closed.

On 8th September, all banks in the country will remain closed due to Sunday.

On 14th September, being the second Saturday, all banks will remain closed.

15th September is Sunday. On this day, banks across the country will remain closed.

On 16th September, Barawafaat is there. On this day, there is a bank holiday in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Aizawl, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Kochi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Ranchi, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram.

On 17th September, banks in Gangtok and Raipur will remain closed on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi.

On 18th September, banks in Gangtok will remain closed due to Pang-Lhabsol.

On September 20, on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, there will be no work in the banks of Jammu and Srinagar.

All banks across the country will remain closed on September 22. This day is Sunday.

On September 21, banks in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed due to Sri Narayan Guru Samadhi Day.

On September 23, banks in Jammu and Srinagar will remain closed on the occasion of Maharaja Harisingh Ji's birthday.

September 28 is the fourth Saturday of September. All banks will remain closed on this day.

All banks will remain closed on September 29 due to Sunday.
