You can change your name in Aadhaar so many times

According to the Nick Identification Authority of India, Aadhaar card holders are allowed to change their name up to 2 times, that is, the name can be changed only twice. After this, you will not be able to change your name in your Aadhaar card.

Date of birth cannot be changed repeatedly

Although you can update your other information on Aadhaar multiple times, the date of birth can be changed in the Aadhaar card only once.

Address can be updated so many times

Apart from this, you can change the address on the Aadhaar card as many times as you want. There is no limit for this. You can change your address online yourself by providing proof like electricity bill, rent agreement or you can change it by visiting the Aadhaar enrolment centre.

This is how you can update the information

If you want to change the name in the Aadhaar card, then go to the Aadhaar enrollment center and give your Aadhaar number to the executive officer there. Then you will be asked to fill the Aadhaar enrollment form there. Fill it and attach the necessary documents. After receiving the form and all the documents, the executive officer will take your biometric data for authentication and enter the information.

The proof of documents is scanned and returned. Once the application process is completed, the executive officer gives a receipt containing the receipt number. This receipt number can be used to track the Aadhaar update status. For this process, you have to pay a fee of Rs 50. Apart from this, to change the address and date of birth, you have to complete the entire process online from home.
