SBI To Discontinue Reward Points For Govt Transactions For Select Cards From This Date, Check If Your Card Is Mentioned?

SBI Bank has recently announced the discontinuation of reward points in govt- transactions from 15 July 2024.
Issuing the statement, SBI cards said, 'Government transactions shall be identified under Merchant Category Codes (MCC) 9399 and 9311, on best effort basis.'
But this transaction will be removed for certain credit cards. Here is the list and Check if your card is featured in this list.

- Central SBI Select+ Card
- Chennai Metro SBI Card
- SBI Vistara Card
- Club Vistara SBI Card PRIME
- SBI Card
- SBI Etihad Guest Card
- Etihad Guest SBI Premier Card
- SBI Card
- SBI Card SELECT
- IRCTC SBI Card
- IRCTC SBI Card Premier
- SBI Card
- Nature's Basket SBI Card
- Nature's Basket SBI Card ELITE
- Ola Money SBI Card
- SBI Card
- SBI Card SELECT Paytm
- SBI Cards
- Reliance SBI Card PRIME
- Yatra SBI Card
As per SBI website, the reward points in govt- transactions will be discontinued in these cards.
