SBI Debit Card Holders Alert! Check Revised Transactions Limits, Charges And Other Details

SBI Debit Card: SBI, a public lender and India's largest bank has revised its debit card, annual maintenance, transaction limit, transaction charges, SMS alert service charges and others. The new revised charges will be applicable from April 1, 2024, as per the bank's official website statement. Here are the complete details.
1. Transaction Limits Based on AMB- Up to Rs 25,000: 3 free transactions/month (other bank ATMs), 5 free transactions/month (SBI ATMs)
- Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000: 3 free transactions/month (other bank ATMs), unlimited transactions (SBI ATMs)
- Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,00,000: 3 free transactions/month (other bank ATMs), 5 free transactions/month (SBI ATMs)
- Above Rs 1,00,000: Unlimited transactions (both other bank and SBI ATMs)
2. Transaction Charges Beyond the Set Limit:- Financial Transactions: Rs 20 + GST (other bank ATMs), Rs 10 + GST (SBI ATMs)
- Non-Financial Transactions: Rs 8 + GST (other bank ATMs), Rs 5 + GST (SBI ATMs)
- Transaction Decline due to Insufficient Balance: Rs 20 + GST (both other bank and SBI ATMs
-GST at 18 per cent applies to all charges
SBI Debit Card Revised ChargesSBI allows up to 3 free transactions per month for savings account holders with an average monthly balance of up to Rs 1 lakh at other bank ATMs in six metro cities, and 5 free transactions in other parts of the country. Additionally, those maintaining an average monthly balance above Rs 25,000 can enjoy unlimited free transactions at SBI ATMs.
Customers need to maintain an average monthly balance of at least Rs 1 lakh to avail unlimited transactions at other bank ATMs. Once the free transaction limit is exceeded, SBI charges Rs 20 per financial transaction and Rs 8 per non-financial transaction at other bank ATMs.
Additional ChargesApart from transaction charges, SBI imposes a fee of Rs 20 per declined transaction due to insufficient balance. Additionally, a quarterly fee of Rs 12 (including GST) is levied on debit card holders failing to maintain an average balance of Rs 25,000.
SBI Debit Card: SMS Alert Service ChargeSMS Alert charges 12 per quarter from Debit Card holders who maintain an average quarterly balance of Rs 25000/- & below during the quarter.
