State Bank of India, the country’s largest public sector bank, has launched a special FD scheme to provide benefits to its customers. Its name is SBI Amrit Kalash FD Scheme. Under this scheme, the bank is offering strong interest rates to the customers. The deadline for the Amrit Kalash Scheme is ending on 31 March 2024. SBI has not yet made any announcement to extend its deadline. In such a situation, you have the last chance to invest in it.

Only 20 days are left to invest

SBI Amrit Kalash Scheme, one of the popular FD schemes of SBI, was launched on 12 April 2023. Under this scheme, the bank is offering a 7.1 percent interest rate to general customers on 400-day FD. Earlier the deadline for the Amrit Kalash Scheme was on 31st December 2023, which was extended to 31st March 2024. In such a situation, if you want to invest in this scheme then you have only 20 days left.

Senior citizens get more benefits

Under the SBI Amrit Kalash Scheme, the bank is offering a 7.1 percent interest rate on a 400-day FD scheme to general customers. Whereas senior citizens are getting a 7.60 percent interest rate on it. The bank deposits the interest in the account after deducting TDS. This TDS is applicable based on the income tax slab. Under Amrit Kalash Scheme, customers can invest up to a maximum of Rs 2 crore.

How to open an Amrit Kalash account

If you want to invest in SBI’s Amrit Kalash Scheme, then you can open an Amrit Kalash FD account by visiting your nearest SBI branch. Apart from this, customers can open FD accounts through internet banking and the SBI Yono app.
